To become a butterfly, a caterpillar first digests itself. But certain groups of cells (imaginal discs) survive, turning the soup into eyes, wings, antennae and other adult structures.

Artist Statement
Rooted in personal and collective experiences of trauma and healing, these works explore what it means to dissolve, survive, and re-form. Depth psychology teaches that transformation happens not through bypassing pain, but by entering into it with curiosity and care. My art practice honors that descent. Each painting in this series is a visual record of what can arise when we let go, allow the old self to break apart, and trust in the unseen process of becoming.
